1886 - Born on the 24th of October in Montevideo, Uruguay.
1900 - She formed part of the Generation, along with Julio Herrera y Reissig, Leopoldo Lugones and Ruben Dario.
- She specialized in the topic of female sexuality during a time when the literary world was dominated by men.
1913 - She wrote her third book titled "Los Calices Vacios" which she dedicated to Eros, god of love.
- She married Enrique Job Reyes on the 14th of August but left him a month later.
1914 - Their divorce was finalized on the 5th of June.
- On the 6th of July, she was shot by Reyes twice in the head and afterwards committed suicide.
