1494 – Agricola was born in Eisleben on April 20, 1494.

1509 – Studied at Wittenberg and became friends with Martin Luther.

1519 – Accompanied Martin Luther in Leipzig to attend the great assembly of German divines as Luther’s secretary.

1525 – Established a Protestant group in Frankfurt.

1526 – Went back to Eisleben to teach at Saint Andrew and became a preacher in the Nicolai church.

1540 – Joachim II of Bradenburg appointed Agricola as the court preacher and general superintendent.

1566 – During the outbreak of an epidemic plague, he died on September 22, 1566.
