Abrams, Robert

 1938 - He was born.

1970 - He served as a member of the New York State Assembly representing the Bronx.

1978 - He was elected to the first of four terms as New York State Attorney General.

1979 - He served as the Bronx Borough President and ex-officio member of the New York
            City Board of Estimate.

       - He is considered a member of the reform wing of the Democratic Party.

1992 - He sought election to the United States Senate.

       - He won the Democratic Primary, defeating former Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro,
            Rev. Al Sharpton, and New York City Comptroller Elizabeth Holtzman.

1994 - He resigned the attorney generalship with a year left in his term to go into the
            private practice of law.
