Abel, Othenio
1875 - Othenio Abel was born in Vienna, on June 20.
1898-1899 - He studied jurisprudence and natural sciences. He graduated as a doctor of philosophy. He was an assistant in the laboratory of geologist Eduard Sweet.
1900-1907 - Worked at the geological institute for realm. He became extraordinary professor in Vienna.
1914 - The dwarf elephant theory to explain the Cyclops was first thought by Othenio Abel.
1917-1934 - He dressed the chair for paleontology in Vienna as a tidy professor.
1935-1940 - He was a professor at the University of Goettingen.
1946 - He died on July 4. He was considered as the founder of Paleobiology.
