Abd al-Majid(Abdul Majeed)

1944-1952 - He was the sultan of Maldives. Following his death, Maldives became a Republic. He died in Egypt on February 21, 1952. Without coming to Maldives since he was appointed as the sultan. The first Maldivian school, Majeediyya School, was named after Abdul Majeed.
