1923 - Philip Abbott was born on March 21, 1923 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

 

1948 - Broadway debut in "Harvest of the Years".

 

1957 - Starred in "The Bachelor Party" and "The Invisible Boy".

 

1962 - Appeared in science fiction film "Sweet Bird of Youth". He co-founded Theatre West, an L.A.-based actor's workshop.

 

1964 - Featured as Arthur Ward on the ABC crime series "The FBI".

 

1973 - Philip Abbott took on multiple role for the movie UNDER THE LAW: THE HITCHHIKE, Abbott was the producer, writer and the director.

 

1998 - On February 23, 1998 Philip Abbott passed away in Tarzana, California from cancer. Abbott was active with the United Cerebral Palsy/Spastic Children's Foundation, and was one of the leading citizens of Tarzana, CA, where he served as president of the Nelson Company.
