Aarestrup, Carl Ludvig Emil

1800 – He was Born on the 4th of December in Copenhagen.

1827 – He graduated and major in medicine.

          – He married Caroline Aagard.

1838 – Working as a doctor, he wrote poetry in his spare time. Only one book was published while he was alive.

1849 – He was a doctor on Funen the third largest island of Denmark.

         – He was a close friend of the poet Christian Winther.

1856 – He was died on the 21st of July.

1863 – "Efterladte Digte" ("Posthumous poems") was published after his death.
