1935 - Allen was born in New York City on December 1, 1935.
1942 - Attended Hebrew school then went to Midwood High School.
1951 - Started writing for Sid Caesar at the age of sixteen.
1954 - He started writing scripts at the age of nineteen for television shows like The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show, Caesar's Hour.
1956 - Married Harlene Rosen on March 15, 1956.
1960 - Made his debut as a stan-up comedian and wrote scripts for the popular television show Candid Camera.
1965 - He wrote the initial screenplay of the movie "What's New, Pussycat?" which was his first movie production.
1966 - Wrote the short story entitled Don't Drink the Water that was played in Broadway. Directed the movie "What's Up, Tiger Lily?". Married Louise Lasser on February 2, 1966.
1967 - Appeared in the James Bond Spoof, Casino Royale.
1969 - Wrote the short story entitled Play It Again, Sam that appeared on Broadway.
1972 - Starred in the film version of Play It Again, Sam.
1976 - Starred in the movie The Front.
1978 - Won the 1978 O. Henry Award for his short story "The Kugelmass Episode".
1980 - Allen played the main character Sandy Bates in the movie Stardust Memories. Won the Cesar Award for Best Foreign Film for the movie Manhattan.
1982 - Starred in the movie A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy as Andrew.
1992 - Directed the movie Shadows and Fog.
1995 - He was chosen by Empire magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History.
1996 - Wrote and directed the musical movie Everyone Says I Love You.
1997 - Married Soon-Yi Previn on December 22, 1997.
2000 - Worked with DreamWorks SKG for the film Small Time Crooks.
2001 - Directed the movie The Curse of the Jade Scorpion.
2002 - Won the Prince of Asturias Award and received the Palme des Palmes, a special lifetime achievement award granted by the Cannes Festival.
2003 - Directed the movie Anything Else.
2004 - Directed the movie Melinda and Melinda.
2005 - Directed the movie Match Point, which was the most successful films of him for the past ten years as director.
2006 - Released the film Scoop which he shoot in London.
