1989 - His international best selling book entitled The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People was published.
1994 - He received The International Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
1997 - He was the founder of the formerly Covey Leadership Center in Salt Lake City, Utah which after a merger with FranklinQuest on the 30th of May had became the Franklin-Covey Company.
1998 - He received The Sikh's International Man of Peace Award.
1999 - He received an award as Speaker of the Year.
2003 - He received the Fatherhood Award from the National Fatherhood Initiative.
