Aldrich, Nelson Wilmarth
1841 - Adrich was born in Foster, Rhode Island on November 6, 1841.
1875-1876 - Elected to the Rhode Island State House of Representatives.
1878-1880 - Elected to the United States House of Representatives.
1881-1911 - Elected to the United States Senate, an influential Republican who was responsible for most of the financial legislation of the early 20th century. Became the chief sponsor of the Aldrich-Vreeland Act and author of the Payne-Aldrich Tariff Act of 1910.
1915 - Died in New York City on April 16, 1915.
