1888 - Arthur Joyce Lunel Cary was born in Derry, Ireland, on the 7th of December.
1912 - Cary left for Montenegro and served as a Red Cross orderly during the Balkan Wars.
1916 - At the battle of Mount Mora, Cary was wounded. He returned to England on leave and proposed marriage to Gertrude Oglivie, the sister of a friend, whom he had been courting for years.
1957 - He died on the 29th of March.
