1904 - Mary Steichen Calderone was born in Paris.
Calderone attended the Brearley School in New York City for her secondary education.
1925 - Graduated at Vassar College, with an A.B. in Chemistry.
1939 - Obtained her M.D. degree from the University of Rochester medical school.
1942 - Received her M.P.H. from Columbia University.
1953-1964 - Medical director of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
1954-1982 - Served as President and Co-founder of the Sex Information and Education Council of the United States (SEICUS).
1958 - Organized a national conference, which instigated the movement to legalize abortion.
1964-1975 - She served as Executive director of SIECUS.
1998 - Calderone died at the age of 94.
