1886 - Alban-Fournier was born in Chapelle-d'Angillon, France on October 3, 1886.

 

1901 - Educated at the high school in Brest in preparation for the Naval School examination.

 

1903 - Went to study at Lakanal in Sceaux.

 

1905 - Met Yvonne de Quievrecourt but she was already engaged and it affected the young Henri.

 

1908-1908 - Enlisted himself in the military service and while in service, he wrote a number of poems and essays published under the title "The Miracles".

 

1910-1912 - Worked as a journalist for the Paris Journal. For two years, he worked as the personal assistant of politician Casimir Perrier and worked on his novel, Le Grand Meaulnes.

 

1914 - Started working on his second novel, Colombe Blanchet. but was not finished because he had to go to war. He died on September 22, 1914 in Les Eparges, France while he is on the battlefield.
