1931 - Born Patricia Claire Blume on the 15th of February in the North London suburb of Finchley, to Edward Blume and Elizabeth Grew.

 

1946 - She made her stage debut when she was 15, with the Oxford Repertory Theatre.

 

1947 - London stage debut was in the Christopher Fry play The Lady's Not For Burning.

 

1948 - She received great acclaim for her portrayal of Ophelia in Hamlet.

 

         - Her first film role was for the film The Blind Goddess.

 

1952 - She was chosen by Charlie Chaplin to appear in his film Limelight.

 

1959 - She is the 2nd wife of Rod Steiger 1959 (divorced 1969)

 

1961 - Appeared with Sean Connery in Anna Karenina.

 

1962 - Played Cathy in Wuthering Heights with Keith Michell as Heathcliffe.

 

1981 - She portrayed the role of Lady Marchmain in Brideshead Revisited.

 

1989 - Appeared in the Woody Allen film Crimes and Misdemeanors.

 

1996 - Starred in the Hollywood film with Sylvester Stallone film Daylight.
