1870 - Born on the 27th of July in La Celle-Saint-Cloud France.

         - Educated at John Henry Cardinal Newman's Oratory School.

1891 - Served his term of military service, as a French citizen, with artillery regiment near Toul.

1895 - Graduated from Balliol College, Oxford.

1896 - Wrote poetry collections "The Bad Child's Book of Beasts".

1907 - "Cautionary Tales.

         - He went into politics after he became a naturalised British citizen.

1906-1910 - He was a Liberal Party Member of Parliament for Salford South.

1914 - Worked as editor of Land and Water, a journal devoted to the progress of the war.

1920 - The religious book "Europe and the Faith".

1941 - He suffered a stroke and never recovered from its effects.

1953 - He lived quietly at home until his death on the 16th of July.

         - He was the brother of the novelist Marie Adelaide Belloc Lowndes.
