1906 - Born on the 13th of April in Foxrock, Dublin, Ireland.

         - Studied High School at Portora Royal School.

1923-1927 - He graduated in Trinity College Dublin.

1928 - He served as teacher in Reader, École Normale Supérieure, Paris.

1929 - Beckett published his first work, a critical essay entitled Dante, Bruno, Vico, Joyce.

1930 - He became teacher, Lecturer in French, Trinity College Dublin.

         - Wrote the Whoroscope.

         - More Pricks Than Kicks.

         - Echo's Bones.

         - Murphy.

         - Watt.

         - Stories and Texts for Nothing.

1952 - Wrote plays Waiting for Godot.

1957 - Endgame.

1959 - Embers.

1960 - Happy Days.

1961 - He married Suzanne Dechevaux-Dumesnil.

1969 - Won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

1989 - Died on the 22nd of December in Paris France, because of Respiratory failure.
