1953 – He was born on the 18th day of April this year in Toronto, Ontario.
1970 – He worked using the stage name Rick Allen as a disc jockey at various radio stations in Toronto.
1984 – He made the movie “Ghost Busters”.
1986 - He did the film “The Little Shop of Horror”.
1989 – One of his memorable films he made this year is “Parenthood” and “Honey, I shrunk the kids”.
1992 - He was also starred in “Honey, I blew up the kids”.
1996 – He pulled himself out from making movies for the reason that he prioritize his growing kids, his wife died of liver cancer and he find it difficult to be a single parent.
2004 – He was on the Advisory Committee for the comedy program at Humber College, the only such diploma program in the world.
2005 – He released an album entitled The Agoraphobic Cowboy, featuring country songs with lyrics which he says follow in the comic tradition of songwriters/singers such as Roger Miller and Jim Stafford.
2006 – He performed "Press Pound" on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and discussed the development of his music career.
