US Democratic politician and criminal

1936 - Marion Shepilov Barry, Jr. was born 6th of March in Itta Bena, Mississippi.

1954 - Finished high school in Booker T. Washington High School,  Memphis, Tennessee.    

1958 - Barry took up BA, LeMoyne College Memphis.    

1960 - Graduated MA, Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee.

       - He was the 1st director of Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.(SNCC)

1967 - He was arrested of Jaywalking in Washington, DC.

1974-1978 - He was the City Council Washington, DC.

1979-1991 - Served as Mayor Washington, DC.

1990 - Arrested by the FBI and D.C. Police for crack cocaine use and possession.

1995 - Successfully treated for his prostate cancer at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

1995-1999 - He elected as Mayor Washington.

2002 - Barry briefly used an "African" name of "Anwar Amal."   

2005 - Barry pled guilty to two federal counts of failing to file income tax returns.
