1824 – He was born at Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

 

1850 – He was appointed pastor of Trinity Congregational Church, Arundel.

 

1872 – He was also for a time editor of Good Words for the Young, and lectured successfully in the United States this year until 1873.

 

1877 – He was given a civil list pension.

 

1905 – He died in Ashstead, and then he was both cremated and buried in Bordighera.
