1799 - Born on the 20th of May in Tours, France.
1822 - The scandalous Vicaire des Ardennes, banned for its depiction of pseudo-incestuous.
1829 - Published collection Scènes de la vie privée (Scenes from Private Life).
1829 - Entered the mainstream as an author of full-length fiction.
1832 - Wrote novel in provincial settings Le curé de Tours (The Vicar of Tours).
1833 - Wrote Eugénie Grandet.
1835 - He wrote In Le Père Goriot (Old Father Goriot), his next big success.
1842 - Wrote the novel Ursule Mirouet.
1843 - His shorter pieces and novellas there followed notably Les Illusions perdues (Lost Illusions).
1844 - Honoré de Balzac wrote Modeste Mignon.
- Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes (The Harlot High and Low), Le Cousin Pons.
1850 - Married Eveline Hanska in Berdyczów and three months later, Balzac died on 18th of August.
