1886 – She was born on the 5th day of December in South Dakota, USA. She was a prolific fiction writer, biographer and political theorist, as well as the daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the Little House series of children's books.
1903 – She had left her parent's impoverished Missouri farm at the age of 17 and soon began to make her mark on the world.
1909 – She married Gillette Lane this year.
1910 – Her infant son died this year.
1918 – After several years of separation, her marriage with her husband officially ended this year. She never gets married again.
1965 – She works as a war correspondent dated from post-WWI Europe to a tour of Viet Nam this year.
1968 – She died on the 30th of October this year, in Danbury, Connecticut, USA.
