American actress, comedian

1911 - Born on the 6th of August in Jamestown, New York, U.S.A.

1925 - Decided to enroll in the John Murray Anderson School for the Dramatic Arts.

1932 - Moved back to New York City to become an actress and had some success as a fashion model.

1933 - Starred in Stepping Stones; a walk-on role in Broadway Trhu a Keyhole. She was selected as a "Goldwyn Girl" for film Roman Scandals.

1934 - Ball signed contract with Columbia.

1935 - Signed under contract to RKO.

1940 - Met Cuban band leader Desi Arnaz while filming the film version of the Rodgers and Hart stage hit Too Many Girls.

1943-1946 - She moved to MGM.

1948 - Ball was cast as Liz Cugat (later "Cooper"), a wacky wife, in My Favorite Husband, a radio program for CBS.

1947-1951 - She played role on CBS radio program My Favorite Husband.

1949 - She is co-starred with Bob Hope in Sorrowful Jones.

1950 - Played in Fancy Pants with husband Desi Arnaz established Desilu Productions.

1953 - Subpoenaed by the House Committee on an-American Activities because she had registered to vote in the Communist party.

1951-1957 - She began producing the I Love Lucy, television series.

1957 - Starred in the series such as The Ann Southern Show and The Untouchables.

1960 - She debuted on Broadway in Wildcat.

1974 - Lucille Désirée Ball starred in film Mame.

1985 - She played a Manhattan bag lady in made-for-television movie Stone Pillows.

1986 - Lucille Désirée Ball starred in series Life With Lucy.

1952 - She awarded by Emmy Award (1955, 1967, and 1968).

1974 - Golden Apple Award, Ruby Award.

1984 - Lucille Désirée Ball Awarded as Television Academy Hall of Fame.

1989 - Lucille Died in Los Angeles on 26th of April.
