1840 – He was born on the 27th day of March this year in Troy, New York.

 

1863 – He became co-founder of the First National Bank of New York in this year.

 

1869 – He married Florence Tucker Baker daughter of Benjamin Franklin Baker and Sophronia J. Whitney this year, and was the father of three.

 

1877 – He became the Bank's President.

 

1909 – This year, he became Chairman of the Board. He was a director in 22 corporations, which, together with their subsidiaries, had aggregate resources of $7,272,000,000 and he presumably had stock in at least as many corporations.

 

1929 – He commissioned the construction of a one-of-a-kind Pierce-Arrow town car, built by LeBaron, for the wedding of his daughter.

 

1931 – He died on the 2nd day of May this year.
