1960 – An American Actor widely known as Brad Garret was born on the 14th day of April this year.
1978 – He attended Hale Junior High School in Woodland Hills, California and graduated from El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills this year. He attended UCLA for less than two months before dropping out to pursue his comedy career.
1984 – He became the first $100,000 grand champion winner in the comedy category of the TV show Star Search. This led to his first appearance, on "The Tonight Show" starring Johnny Carson, making him one of the youngest comedians ever to perform on the show.
1988 – He then appeared in the short-lived summer comedy "First Impressions" in which he was a divorced father who makes a living doing impressions.
1990 – He appeared as a semi-regular panelist on the revival of Match Game.
1995 – He also appeared in NBC’s “The Pursuit of Happiness", in which he was the hero's gay best friend.
1998 – He proposed to his then girlfriend Jill Diven on the set of "Everybody Loves Raymond.”
1999 – He married her this year.
2002 – His role on Everybody Loves Raymond won him five Emmy nominations, in this year Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy.
2003 – He won again an Emmy Award and in year 2005.
2005 – He appeared on Broadway playing Murray the Cop in the revival of Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple" with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
2006 – The FOX network announced they would pick up a new sitcom called “Till Death,” starring Brad Garrett in the lead role.
